An innovative and growing leader in the development and manufacturer of test systems for the HDD/SSD industry is looking for motivated and energetic software engineers to join our dynamic R&D team in Longmont CO and Fremont CA.
We require a bachelor´s degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 5 years SW development experience, plus the ability to work in JAVA in an embedded environment. C/C++ programming skills are also a must.
Specific development areas include Linux kernel, driver modules and creation of new features. The successful candidate will also know how to build kernel images and have kernel experience with memory management networking and system storage. Debugging at the kernel level with hands on work with memory leaks and kernel exceptions will be a big plus. We also are looking for developers with test script writing skills and a penchant for SW and product quality as well as Engineers who enjoy meeting customers and discussing the test and validation needs of companies in the storage industry space. Yes, there is more than one position open here.
What would be really nice is if you have an understanding of storage interfaces (SCSI, SAS, SATA, USB, FC, ATAPI), how they work (HBA, PCI, PCI-X, PCI-e) and protocol knowledge for command flow. You need to enjoy the small company culture of wearing many hats and always being customer facing.
Compensation is commensurate with experience; includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Coordinate all technical activities between customer and TSMC. Manage the engineering process from technical engagement, tape out, and initial ramp to production; work as the interface for ongoing yield improvement, and coordinate resolution for manufacturing issues with customer. Handle Demand Creation and Fulfillment, including demand forecast and order fulfillment. Be the first line of defense on all technical issues from customers. Develop relationships within the account at all levels. Follow-up on the development progress of specialty technologies. Set proper expectation for customer, maximize TSMC´s interest and improve customer satisfaction with win-win approach. Requirements:
BS/MS or higher in EE/Physics/MS with 8 years of experience in semiconductor industry. Experience with foundry business is preferred. Additional experience in IC basic circuit design, Process Integration, Product Engineering, and Test a plus. Proven capabilities in program management. Strong customer orientation, excellent communication skills (writing and presentation). Strong business sense. Ability to work and operate independently and effectively in a very fast paced environment. Experience in managing big-size and challenging accounts a big plus.

Provide technical sales support for our key customers in a team environment. Manage customer¡¦s new product tapeout activities, including design, mask, and process requirements. Position Summary

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing electronics for audio amplifiers which will be integrated into our high quality loudspeakers systems, from concept through to production for many of the world's leading high end brands. They design, develop and manufacture subwoofers, studio monitors, iPod docks and other active loudspeaker systems.
The Embedded Engineer will be doing similar work but will be responsible for the embedded development of the projects. Audio experience nice--but not required for the Embedded Engineer.
A successful candidate must be able to take a project from a concept into production. Including schematic design, board layout, software, certifications, and testing. The applicant will exhibit good working knowledge of audio electronics, measurements and embedded system design. They will also have significant work experience designing and debugging digital audio systems. They will be able to interpret customer requirements and specifications and optimize their designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Required Skills:
BS or MS EE
Experience in the design and development of digital and analog audio electronics.
Working knowledge of I2C, SPDIF and I2S interfaces.
Understanding of audio measurements and experience with measurement equipment (Audio Precision).
Experience solving EMC, safety, and other certification related issues.
Knowledge of DSP, digital/analog filters, CODEC's, and class D amplifiers.
Experience with embedded systems and proficiency with C is an asset.
Technical management of the development of electronics platforms and products.
Excellent communication with customers and colleges/Fluent in English.
Ability to guide and mentor others on technical issues.
4 or more years of electronics development experience on audio related products.
Experience incorporating digital amplifiers, class D amplifiers, DSP, and embedded systems.
Excellent teamwork in a dynamic project environment.
ABILITY TO RELOCATE TO CHINA is REQUIRED.

Our client is a public company located in Sunnyvale that makes optical components and modules for high-speed data, voice, and video communications for storage, wireless, networking, and cable TV applications. They are seeking a Sr. Optical Communication Systems Engineer to add to their team.
Specific Duties include:
Analyze, simulate, and measure optical communication links.
Define optical communication transmit and receiver architectures.
Define optical component specifications.
Define new optical communication standards.
Characterize optical components and transceivers.
Support transceiver integration into customer communication systems.
Work will focus on 100Gbps LAN, WAN and DWDM systems.
Required Skills:
M.S. required, Ph.D preferred.
10 years of industry experience with communication system analysis, design and verification.
5 (recent) years of optics communication system or component design.
Strong signal processing and modeling skills.
Strong laboratory measurement and data analysis skills.
Test instrument and firmware programming skills a plus.
Hardware and software debugging skills a plus.
