We have an immediate opening for a Linux Systems Administrator. You will be an early member of a rapidly growing team, work with exciting technologies, and contribute to setting our technical direction. We use AWS, RightScale, Linux, PHP, Ruby, Python, Zabbix, Gearman, Puppet, MySQL, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Hadoop, Pig and other technologies. You don´t have to come in knowing everything, but you must have a solid base and a strong desire to learn.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Configure, monitor and maintain systems that host our web sites, handle large volumes of HTTP API calls, and store and process large amounts of data.
• Manage development, staging and production environments.
• Troubleshoot networking, platform, application and database issues.
• Write and maintain documentation on processes and configurations.
• Share on-call duties with other engineers to support 24x7 operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 4+ years of Systems Administration experience

• Experience running and maintaining Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL.

• Scripting with shell, Python, Ruby

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, daemons.
• Experience with monitoring systems, high availability.

• Experience supporting 24x7 production environments.

• Ability to work an on-call shift.
• Ability to work with tough deadlines and challenging problems.
• Fast learner, interested in learning and exploring new ideas.
• Ability to work with a close-knit team.
• Self-directed and motivated.
• Previous experience with AWS and/or RightScale is a BIG plus!
• Experience as MySQL DBA
and/or NoSql is a BIG plus!
