Job Description
Duties:-:
Partner with internal IT clients and the external supplier base to identify and drive performance/cost/ improvement opportunities for numerous Software (S/W) and Hardware (H/W) and projects including related Professional Services (PS). More specifically:
•Software & Hardware - The ideal candidate will have sourcing and contracting experience across all areas of software as a service (SaaS), enterprise S/W (ELA's, perpetual license model, term license model, etc) and H/W (enterprise, client, support/maintenance, contract terms, discount structures, etc). Technical knowledge/experience is a big plus.
•Professional Services – The ideal candidate will have sourcing and contracting experience for a broad range of IT S/W and H/W implementation projects, including customization/configuration, upgrades, installations, break-fix, etc, directly reflecting your S/W, H/W and PS category sourcing background.
•Partner with IT leadership team members and external global supply base to support planning and execution of S/W & H/W and affiliated PS and solutions.
•Critical and deep experience in the S/W & H/W spend category, including a global experience perspective on industry contract terms, discount levels, channel partner/VAR fee structure knowledge and negotiation experience, H/W technical specifications analysis, S/W & H/W maintenance rates and structures, professional services associated with both commodities, etc.
•Partner with IT Vendor Management Office (VMO) and IT Financial Planning on S/W & H/W spend category for supplier governance, spend planning, savings calculations, full life-cycle management, support, reporting, visibility, etc.
•Strong aptitude, ability, motivation and interest in performing quantitative analysis within a business environment on each S/W & H/W deal brought for review and approval.
•Exceptional multi-tasking and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple end-to-end project cycles are mandatory. While you are not required to be a trained Project Manager, the successful candidate will utilize standard project management skills to handle the large amount of deals and data in a demanding IT environment.
•Critically, you must establish and cultivate key client stakeholder relationships across organizations, building trust and support for each sourcing project, at times in a challenging environment.
•You must have strong commercial, business sense and understand expectations and take appropriate initiatives and risks where necessary as well as be methodical and analytical, with the ability to work on multiple assignments while paying attention to detail.
•You must possess excellent negotiation, contracting, communication (verbal, written, interpersonal), presentation, summarizing, and time management skills.
•Experience influencing and working directly with key IT stakeholders.
•C.P.M. certification or equivalent desired.
•Must be adaptable and able to address changing IT and supplier demands.
•Team player with a positive attitude and initiative
•Lead and execute sourcing projects (varies in spend, criticality, visibility) including strategy development, SOW development assistance, RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ) execution, online auctions, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution
•Communicate frequently and professionally with customer stakeholders regarding the status of the procurement aspect of the project including creation of SOW and other sourcing and contracting instruments.
•Honesty and integrity are the highest values in the face of possible customer challenges.
•Perform supplier research and identification and perform RFQ analyses such as rate card analyses, basic TCO, risk analysis, lease vs. buy/NPV, etc.
•Offer creative solutions to support sourcing projects and achieve desired results.
•Ensure the consistent delivery of sourcing services that meet and exceed savings and SLA targets
•Seek out opportunities to drive creativity and innovation within each sourcing project, while ensuring adherence to quality and timeliness standards
Skills:-
-5-8 years of sourcing/supplier complete Sourcing life-cycle selection and management experience generated through work with one or more of the following:
•Major consulting firm delivering Strategic-sourcing services with an IT S/W, H/W, and associated PS services focus.
•Fortune 500 technology, financial services, or similar business segments supporting their Sourcing/Procurement initiatives in an IT S/W, H/W and associated PS services spend category.
