[KITlist-Tech] Embedded SW Design Engineers (Longmont, CO)

An innovative and growing leader in the development and manufacturer of test systems for the HDD/SSD industry is looking for motivated and energetic software engineers to join our dynamic R&D team in Longmont CO and Fremont CA.
We require a bachelor´s degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 5 years SW development experience, plus the ability to work in JAVA in an embedded environment. C/C++ programming skills are also a must.
Specific development areas include Linux kernel, driver modules and creation of new features. The successful candidate will also know how to build kernel images and have kernel experience with memory management networking and system storage. Debugging at the kernel level with hands on work with memory leaks and kernel exceptions will be a big plus. We also are looking for developers with test script writing skills and a penchant for SW and product quality as well as Engineers who enjoy meeting customers and discussing the test and validation needs of companies in the storage industry space. Yes, there is more than one position open here.
What would be really nice is if you have an understanding of storage interfaces (SCSI, SAS, SATA, USB, FC, ATAPI), how they work (HBA, PCI, PCI-X, PCI-e) and protocol knowledge for command flow. You need to enjoy the small company culture of wearing many hats and always being customer facing.
Compensation is commensurate with experience; includes a comprehensive benefits package.
