Position Summary
The primary focus of this position is to create elegant user interfaces and rich user experiences. The successful candidate has a deep passion for both. You will be responsible for the design and development of features in an analytical software suite with a constantly expanding set of capabilities. You will be constantly challenged to leverage your creativity and your technical prowess to satisfy customers and extend their ability to see, understand, and "reach out and touch" their data.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Design and implement highly interactive user experiences in a web-based analytical product
+ Work with customers, support, and QA to resolve bugs and support issues
+ Review and provide detailed feedback on documentation and test plans for features
+ Author automated tests (unit test and black box tests) for your features
+ Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
+ Knowledge of web technologies, web development tools, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
+ Experience with object-oriented languages, Java and/or C++ preferred
+ Experience in developing rich, interactive user experiences
+ Knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing a plus
+ Familiarity with the development of large-scale web applications a plus
Qualifications
+ BSCS or equivalent
+ 3 plus years of professional software development experience
Working Conditions
+ Location: San Mateo, CA
+ Occasional travel may be required
