6) FP&A – Forecasting, Budgeting and Close knowledge
This position is responsible for handling the FP&A responsibilities for bookings, one-time software, and royalties for Clinicals. An additional function of this position is the technical requirement for development of systems to drive process improvement and systems advancement. The position is responsible for the development of a services and maintenance MS Access database utilized by multiple finance and operation staff that has significantly streamlined monthly processes. The position requires technical knowledge of FOCUS, Business Objects, MS Access, VBA, SQL Server, and SAP to maintain the current systems and provide future enhancements.
Responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, operating forecasts, etc. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and impact of governmental requirements.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Microsoft Access: Advanced query skills, Ability to utilize queries, tables, and relationships to model data.
Advanced Forms and Reporting: Ability to create interactive forms and reports utilizing various GUI controls.
Moderate Visual Basic: Ability to understand and adjust existing visual basic code in MS Access.
Macros: Create and utilize the macros to understand the data model.
Microsoft SQL Server: Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server including data backups, user security, and stored procedures.
Prior experience integrating MS Access and SQL server in a multi-user (40 users) community.
OLAP Cubes: basic knowledge of MS Analysis Services and integration with Excel.
