DemandTec is searching for a dynamic senior software engineer to work in our portal technology group. This engineer will work with Product Management, QA, and operations to create scalable and maintainable product for our SaaS environment.
Sr Java Development Engineer ( Strong GUI/LifeRay/Portal Skills essential
Position Responsibilities:
Work with product management, engineering, QA to deliver features and solutions on our world-class SaaS platform.
Lead and mentor application developers.
Prepare and review design and test plan documents
Work with Quality Assurance engineers as required to assist with system and integration testing
Proficiency with Web technologies, such as JSP, JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, CSS.
Good programming practices with solid object-oriented development experience.
Working with the Liferay
Coding for single-sign-on and user provisioning system.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills (Must be able to analyze and suggest improvements to existing code and designs)
Using automated build and test tools and methods
Developing on the Linux operating system
Required Skill Set:
3-7 years designing, building, and maintaining functionality for enterprise-quality web applications (Must be able to demonstrate significant contributions to past projects)
5+ years in a software development position
2+ years of cross platform JavaScript and CSS experience
3+ years working on web-based enterprise applications and user interface.
Expert Java coding and debugging skills
Strong knowledge of JSP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX a must. (Flash Flex a plus)
Good programming practices with solid object-oriented development experience.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills (Must be able to analyze and suggest improvements to existing code and designs)
Desired Skill Set:
Experience with developing portal and portlet applications preferred, Liferay
Experience with user management systems and building single-sign-on systems
Experience with Flash and/or Flex
Required Education:
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
