Move is seeking a senior member of the team focused on designing and implementing new aspects of our enterprise data warehouse.
The successful candidate will be skilled in drawing technical components out of the business requirements; integrating those components into Operational Data Store structures; and migrating them to the appropriate Data Mart. They will also be familiar with determining the applicability of existing warehouse components to new business requirements.
The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts to both our Business and Technology partners.
S/he will understand and champion Data Quality standards and ensure those standards are incorporated into the design and data processing for the enterprise data warehouse.
S/he will be conversant in understanding the various steps in boarding data to the various warehouse components and implementing solutions that allow delivery of meaningful information to the user via multiple delivery mechanisms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implement changes or additions to the data warehouse environment
• Write and/or modify SSIS packages and SSAS cubes as necessary
• Design and direct the ETL processes, including data quality and testing
• Define technical requirements for the data warehouse and data marts
• Define and direct the implementation of security requirements
• Define data capture methodologies
• Define and design production release procedures
Skills and Experience:
• 5+ years designing and maintaining large Data Warehousing environments (over 4 Terabytes preferred)
• Strong experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (SSAS and SSIS) and/or MicroStrategy 9
• Experience designing and supporting Data Warehouses utilizing SQL Server 2005 and 2008
• Experience designing relational and multi-dimensional models
• Data modeling skills
• Strong business and communication skills
• Significant skill and experience in requirements definition and analysis
• Significant skill in source data discovery
• Significant skill in data anomaly identification/resolution
Education:
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university required
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Statistics (preferred)
