Job Title: Principal RF Hardware Engineer

Job Description:
Our client is a fab-less semiconductor startup located in Fremont. The are developing wireless chipsets which will facilitate delivery of HDTV and other multimedia services over standard WiFi Networks. They are seeking a Principal RF Hardware Engineer to add to their team. Candidate will be responsible for RF electrical design of consumer products using 802.11n proprietary 4x4 MIMO chip-sets. Candidate has responsibilty starting from requirements definition, through architecture, schematic capture, layout, fabrication and design verification test. Candidate will supervise layout and supervise test and bring-up in the lab. Candidate will work closely with RFIC team and BBIC team to develop world class high volume, low-cost, ultra-high performance products.
*** Candidates from the following companies would be of the most interest to this client: Atheros, Broadcom, Marvell, Ralink, Mediatek, Intel and Qualcomm, or any smaller company who has 802.11n products.
Required Skills:
MSEE or better. PhD preferred. Graduate work should be RF-centric.
3 years industry experience minimum. 5+ preferred.
Expert in RF board design. Detailed knowledge of 2.4 and 5 GHz LNA, PA and PLL design.
Familiarity with Orcad, PADs, Allegro CAE tools preferred.
Familiarity with RF design tools such as Virtuoso, ADS a plus.
Expert in use of test equipment such as Network Analyzer, Spectrum analyzer and 802.11n test equipment such as Agilent, Rhode/Schwarz, Litetpoint
Experienced with detailed performance analysis, and RF characterization.
