POSITION – NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
LOCATION – SANTA CLARA, CA
DURATION – 6 MONTHS
TYPE - CONTRACT
The selected candidate will serve as a member of the IT team and participate in managing all aspects of the Client's IT infrastructure. This individual will be expected to provide shared on-call support for emergencies 24/7/365 and should be a very independent worker. As this firm´s IT environment is a diverse one, the ability to multi-task is crucial. Candidate will be performing a wide range of duties from desktop support to server upgrades, project coordination and rollouts.
Job Description
• Deliver and setup network/server equipment
• Conduct disaster recovery tests on network/servers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with network infrastructure or systems and report findings
• Support network/server environment (including after-hours)
• Ensure timely delivery of software upgrades and new configurations, both application and operating system.
• Support for Desktop operations
Knowledge and Skills Required
• CCNA or Network+ certification required (must be current)
• Experience with VMWare - ESX/ESXi
• Associates degree required, Bachelors in computer science or related field preferred
• Minimum of 4 years supporting a corporate IT infrastructure.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to diagnose and correct hardware and software configuration problems, professional appearance, and demeanor.
• Ability to handle multiple projects/assignments concurrently and be very results-oriented. Highly self-motivated and works well both independently and in a team environment.
