At this time, Clustrix is looking for QA Engineers with solid backgrounds developing tests in linux environments. The ideal candidate is a professional with a history of employment requiring and developing their substantial, technical skills in either QA or System Administration.
Those with a solid background in systems-level enterprise support or operations who understand the meaning of quality from the other side of the fence and can translate this real-world experience into test design and methodology could be a solid fit for this role. In other words, what you might lack in familiarity with Standard Quality Assurance Procedure you make up for in the ability and tenacity to figure out how and why something doesn't work.
If you are a bright individual with a track record of innovation and excellence in testing and automation, we'd love to hear from you.
The responsibilities of this role will include:
*Writing testplans for product features, reviewing them with peers and developers
*Coding automated testcases in various scripting languages
*Forensics of anomaly incidents in our massive regression suite
*Reproducing bugs based on reports and descriptions
*Contributing tools and infrastructure components to our automation framework
Successful candidates must have:
*Knowledge of testing methodologies, ability to think like a customer
*Working knowledge of scripting in bash, python and/or perl
*Basic familiarity with relational database concepts, and SQL commands
An ideal candidate will also have:
*Previous experience in a DBA role
*Working knowledge of coding in Java, C and/or C++
*Experience Troubleshooting problems with Linux processes and TCP/IP-networking
What about us?
At Clustrix, you won't just test a next generation database engine; you'll plan and develop tests for low-level systems software, compilers, network transports, hardware drivers and eventually, award winning user interfaces.
We reward performance and promote from within. We run a lean organization that provides a variety of challenges for people that like to learn and grow. We're big on documentation, automation, and repeatability as a path to quality. If you want to belong to a team doing QA the right way, give us a shout.
