Position: Senior Data Warehouse/ ETL Consultant

Description:
• We are looking for an ETL Consultant who has built a data warehouse using web site cookies, web site analytics and is familiar with double-click, Mapreduce data formats.
• Working in a cloud environment is a plus but is not mandatory.
• Knowledge and experience with ETL frameworks such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend and others
• Experience building, managing and deploying Data Warehouse Applications on Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 plus other brands of ETL and analytics cube frameworks
• Experience with test-driven approaches to ETL and cube processing a plus
• SQL, MDX, and database modeling concepts essential
• Prior exposure to and embrace of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum is a plus
• The project is to move a data warehouse that currently resides on a Microsoft cloud to an amazon cloud (ws3).
• The source data is the web clicky cookies that are generated when we visit we sites such as walmart, Macy´s, etc. Huge amounts of this kind of data is captured by double-click when we visit these sites.
• The target is a data warehouse of size around 20tb with an incremental load (daily load size of ~1tb).
• The scope of the project is to redo the ETL so that the data is now stored in the amazon cloud. Complexity will be in the transform portion of the ETL.
• Technology components - Asterdata, Mapreduce, double-click web logs, Atlas data Format,
• ETL tool is Tanlend.
• There are 13-15 ETL that needs to be migrated in a Span of 3-4 weeks. The 3-4 weeks includes dev, test, UAT and deploy.
