Job Summary

The Technical Director for IP Video Network Development will work in a multidisciplinary team to design, develop and optimize broadband solutions for advanced R&D video services. This position requires being a self-starter, being proactive, having initiative and the ability to overcome new challenges together with a strong engineering background and practical experience in developing IP network solutions. Successful candidates must have experience in architecting and designing video and interactive services deployment network and distribution systems using Cloud infrastructure and end-user devices and clients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities includes:

• Architect, design, develop and implement IP networks for advanced video processing solutions.
• Prepare detailed network specifications, including diagrams, charts, equipment configurations and recommended technologies.
• Determine specific network hardware and software requirements, including platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, routing schemas and develop network-related documentation.
• Develop or recommend network security measures, such as firewalls, network security audits or automated security probes.
• Create and execute test cases for end-to-end acceptance tests.
• Perform system integration, testing and optimization activities to ensure flawless integration with other components of the system.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience in design and development of MPLS solutions (IP-VPNs, VPLS, PWE3, etc.)
• Video formats, encoding, and standards, bandwidth and network dimensioning and design skills for real-time service delivery are a must.
• Experience architecting and designing video and interactive services deployment network and distribution systems using Cloud infrastructure and end-user devices and clients.
• Experience developing networks using wireless and wireline technologies for seamless mobility and services to end-user devices is highly desired.
• Demonstrated IP routing and switching skills.
• Solid knowledge of IP technology (network design, architecture, performance, best practices), routing and switching protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, etc), TCP/IP, WAN/LAN, ATM, Wireless LAN.
• Previous experience with a service provider and practical knowledge of network platforms.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented work environment.
