HiWire has been engaged to find an outstanding Senior Sales Engineer - Federal Systems and a Field Applications Engineer for an exciting VC-backed company providing the industry's only device-independent Smart Device Security platform that secures all aspects of IP addressable devices, as well as the information, applications and services that run on them. This company is based in San Francisco's Financial District.
Responsibilities
>> For both sales prospects and current customers, you must be able to:
+ Be seen as a technical expert and effectively communicate the value of the technology
+ Present products / technology to executives, architects and developers
+ Create software demos and proof-of-concept engagements
+ Respond to RFIs / RFPs
+ Write technical notes and integration guides
+ Coordinate customer technical requirements to Product Management
Qualifications
>> Senior Sales Engineer – Federal Systems:
+ Must be a US citizen
+ Good understanding of federal business and relevant standards (e.g. NIST, FIPS, DoD Mil specs)
+ 8+ years successful experience in Sales Engineering, Field Application Engineering or technical Professional Services
+ C/C++ / Java / Embedded System development experience and hands-on RTOS development knowledge
+ BS degree in a technical field (MS preferred)
>> Field Applications Engineer:
+ 2-5 years C / C++ coding experience highly preferred; Java experience a plus
+ Knowledge of build and debugging tool skills to perform training and on-site debugging as needed
+ 5+ years of pre-sales experience in the embedded software industry; technical Product Marketing or Engineering background preferred
+ Credible working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, wireless, security essentials and embedded operating systems
+ BS CS or EE preferred
