SUMMARY
The Performance Engineering team ensure that all new systems meet performance requirements before they go into production on the company web site. Their approach is more in-depth than Performance groups at other companies
RESPONSIBILITIES
* The Performance Engineer will design and plan performance load testing.
* Conduct performance testing and monitor and report all performance metrics
* Analysis performance metrics results and write final *go/no go* report
* Work with cross functional team and attend all product meetings.
* Test baseline performance and compare with new changes
* Use C knowledge to generate the load using LoadRunner
* Access Web Servers and Application Servers in Unix/Linux environment to set up performance tests and diagnose issues
Job Requirements
* Must have detailed knowledge of Load Runner from Mercury Interactive with web-based and Java based applications
* Minimum 2 years working in a performance test and analysis position
* Minimum 2 years of UNIX/Linux (preferably) working experience with shell scripting, PERL
* Minimum 2 years of SQL queries on Sybase and/or Oracle or MySQL database and debugging
* Minimum 2 years of C language and exposure to Java, Apache, Tomcat and Excel as a performance reporting tool
* Knowledge of Tuxedo and http protocol is a plus
* Knowledge of backend order management and trade processing is a plus
* Knowledge of Insure++ and Valgrind (memory leak tools) and Keynotes and Sitescopes (site monitoring tools)
