Position Summary:
Ensures the IT portfolio content is current and accurate so that project prioritization, resourcing, and funding decisions can be made. Has, and applies, expert knowledge and understanding of IT program and project management concepts, practices, procedures and industry standards. Works with IT client managers and project managers to capture information for all past, current, and future projects (schedules, resourcing, budgets, etc.). Conducts analysis across the project portfolio in order to identify schedule, resource, and budget constraints; communicates this information in order to enable the proper sequencing and scheduling of projects. Facilitates weekly portfolio review meetings and gate reviews. Drives improvements in IT portfolio performance by working with IT client managers and project managers to adjust execution practices based on metrics and KPI performance tracking. Acts as the primary point of contact for IT reporting (e.g., IT Portfolio Dashboard, Quarterly Portfolio Reviews, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
* At least 5 years IT project management and implementation experience.
* Must have a thorough knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and practical experience in common delivery methodologies.
* 3-5 years experience delivering projects in a multi-vendor, outsourced environment
* 2-3 years of direct budget management and forecasting, including experience in developing business cases, cost/benefit analyses, NPVs, break even calculations and financial decision making models.
* Self-motivated, able to operate at a high level under minimal supervision.
* Strong management, analytical and risk assessment skills.
* Creativity and flexibility in analytical skills to facilitate leveraging solutions for a win-win outcome.
* Ability to establish and maintain credibility with senior Business and IT leaders, manage multiple projects with stakeholders at different sites globally.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* B.A. from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
