Overview:
The Alliance TAM organization provides ownership to the technical needs of Wind River's key alliance partners. Its charter is to facilitate the technical challenges faced by these key partners in integrating and selling joint value-add solutions to our mutual customer base.
The ideal candidate must be a team player who can accomplish goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment reporting to a remote manager. The primary function of this role is to facilitate the integration of key partner joint value add solutions as well as enable the sales channels to sell these solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Qualify and document technical requirements and challenges
• Assist product marketing in creating joint integration and marketing plans
• Ensure proper product and support channels are engaged and progressing
• Act as technical escalation point of contact
• Train key partner and Wind River sales channels on joint value propositions
• Train key partner and Wind River field engineers to use, present, and demo joint solutions
• Provide joint alliance partner trade show support
• Help develop and deliver customized joint demos and presentations
• Help develop joint datasheets and white papers
• Technical seminar content creation, review, and delivery
• Participate in process improvement activities.
• Provide meaningful, partner-centric feedback to Wind River engineering via formal and informal channels.
Qualifications:
• BSCS/BSEE Degree Computer science, Engineering, or equivalent technical degree), MS preferred.
• 7+ years of embedded software design experience with uniformly increasing levels of responsibility
• A power user of PowerPC based processors / System on Chip with at list 3+ years of experience. Experience with the E500/E500MC cores is recommended.
• Experience in the areas of real-time embedded software development at a system level (BSP, device drivers) and integration of middle ware components.
• Strong embedded application experience with one or more of the following Embedded operating systems: VxWorks, Embedded Linux
• Experience with open source is recommended
• Strong C/C++ programming skills
• Strong and effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills with the ability to work across multiple geographies
• Strong technical, analysis and problem solving skills, and
• Demonstrated successful consulting with customers, resolving complex problems and architecting solutions
• High level of self-motivation and requires minimal supervision
• Broad experience range covering a variety of systems, processors, and peripheral devices and experience working in multiple consumer, industrial or networking product areas
• Should be a hands-on type of person with the initiative to dive in and do whatever is necessary to get the task completed
Working Conditions:
• Depending upon the specific role, some travel may be required (20%)
Reporting:
• The position reports to the Sr. Director Sales Operations Engineering.
