<b>UserTesting.com
C# Developer</b>
<b>About Us</b>
UserTesting.com is a fast-growing, venture-funded start-up in our 3rd year of business. We've built a large panel of remote users who record their screen and voice while they use websites and web applications. Website owners can tap into our panel and, within hours, get back videos that uncover where users are getting frustrated. We are finalists in Amazon.com's "Start-Up Challenge", and our service has been covered by MSNBC and CNN. Our business is booming and we're hiring. Right now, we're looking for a developer to join our growing team as we become the market leader in fast and inexpensive usability testing.
<b>About You</b>
You love programming and you take pride in the quality of your code. You manage your time effectively by prioritizing and staying on task. You love being able to contribute to the design of what you're working on and understanding how your work fits into the overall business. You have a positive attitude and get along well with others.
You at least have the following skills and experience:
• 1-2 years C# development
• 2-3 years experience with Microsoft .Net technologies including ASP.Net, ADO.Net, WCF
• 2-3 years database experience using MS SQL Server
• Expertise in HTML / JavaScript / Ajax / XML technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Our ideal candidate also has:
• BS or Masters in Computer Science
• 1+ years C++ / VB.Net experience
• Agile / Scrum development experience
• Java programming experience
• LAMP experience
• HTML5 development experience
• Audio and video development on Windows / Mac experience
<b>About The Job</b>
We have some really exciting new ideas that need to be implemented and integrated into our system. We need someone who will work with our existing team of developers to add new features and optimize our code and database to improve scalability. Systems that we'll likely improve in the coming months are our website tools, back-end user tester network systems, proprietary screen recording technology and video playback system.
<b>Company Culture</b>
We're "A" players looking for more "A" players. We're passionate about providing a service that "wows" customers. Most of our growth to date has come from customer referrals. We're also passionate about our mission of helping websites improve their usability. We're very focused on meeting our goals at work and try to have fun together as we grow this company.
<b>Pay</b>
Yes! We thought we'd get more applicants that way! The job pays a very competitive salary and offers a full suite of excellent benefits including health and dental plans. Most importantly, stock options are also included in the package. We turn away investors weekly so, at this point, working for us is the only way to get stock!
<b>How to Join Our Team</b>
First, you'll answer some questions in writing. Based on your resume and responses, we'll decide if you seem like a possible fit and we'll set up a brief phone interview. Then, the best candidates will be invited to come in and meet us.
So what's next? Send your resume and an email to jobs@usertesting.com answering the following questions:
- Tell us a little about yourself and why you're a good fit for this position
- Tell us what you did at your last company
- Tell us when you'd be available to start and if you have any special documentation considerations
- Tell us what you think your strengths are as a programmer
