Job Description: Client IT Consulting and Systems Integrator

• Provide leadership for development, implementation and maintenance of the broad range of information resources related to technology used or provided by the company or on be half of the company by a vendor for use by internal users and external users.
• Analyze operational needs and business processes of the company, client system-wide integration needs and recommend new systems/solutions to service those needs. Work with managers throughout the system to establish priorities for system development and acquisition priorities.
• Provide technical direction, support and problem solving to staff and contract programmers supporting the systems as required. Prepare, establish and oversee implementation of project plans. Identify major phases of work, schedules and milestones. Conduct project coordination meetings with contract developers and staff to assure timely project completion and resolve project issues.
• Provide technical direction for the project to redesign and expand the company´s current memberships and document management system, a complex application used for management of the associations and collaboration of their users and client websites and tools system-wide. Review and approve technical specifications, provide direction, advice and recommendations for technical solutions. Provide technical direction of the system-wide implementation of the new database system. This includes providing technical advice on the optimal use of Microsoft database and application development tools, workflow solutions, as well as state-of-the-art web strategies and technologies.
• Provide technical direction and leadership in the development of systems and policies to ensure the overall security of the company's network and systems, and to protect the confidentiality of company´s data.
• Contribute technical expertise to the development and implementation of training programs and materials that enable internal staff and external users to use information systems and databases to maximum advantage.
• Contribute technical expertise to the preparation of documentation for systems developed under the direction of the company. Assure that such documentation is sufficiently robust to serve the needs of maintenance programmers, production control staff and end users.
• Provide technical direction for the design, development and maintenance of the company´s computer infrastructure, including servers and related software systems, including Amazon Web Services - Cloud virtualization and applications support, etc.
• Represent company on internal and external advisory committees and task forces related to information systems development and implementation as required.
• Participate in relevant company´s management meetings.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements (Essential):
• A minimum of 5 years experience working with the design and implementation of computer databases and information systems.
• Must possess a thorough understanding of the major elements of the software development process, as well as the strength and weaknesses of the different development tools and environments.
• Must possess a thorough understanding of the concepts and practical application of database design principles.
• Demonstrated experience with SQL Server database, 2000, 2005, 2008.
• Extensive knowledge of report writing and querying using SQL, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, DTS Packages, SSIS, SQL Server Management Studio etc.
• Demonstrated experience developing and programming software applications with VB, Classic ASP, VB.NET, ASP.NET, C#, ADO.NET, MS Visual Studio and related .NET Windows/Web application development tools.
• Knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art workflow solutions, as well as web development technologies and capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience developing interfaces to external IT systems (custom integration/middleware/web services, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience developing interfaces to other systems such as QuickBooks accounting system (custom integration/middleware/web services, etc.)
• Ability to design and manage complex projects.
• Must possess a high degree of initiative and strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals and groups; must exhibit maturity and professionalism in working with others.
Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor´s degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent.

Requirements (Preferred):
• Experience with Amazon Web Services - Cloud virtualization, networking, and software-as-a-service technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server 2000, 2003, and 2008.
• Experience with the development of association management related applications and tools.
• Experience with multiple Internet browsers.
• Experience with Crystal Reports.
• Working knowledge of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, including a working knowledge of Association Management, concepts and terminology is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of the Lyris - Email Campaign system, concepts and terminology is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of the Visnetics - Help Desk ticketing management system, concepts and terminology is highly desirable.
