The Interactive Media Group (IMG) provides the media and graphics foundation across all of our Fortune 50 client´s innovative products, including iPhone, AppleTV, iPod, iTunes, and Mac OS X, as well as professional and consumer applications from Final Cut Pro and Aperture to iLife and iWork.
Combining cutting-edge software techniques with next-generation hardware, IMG takes the media experience to the next level with core technologies such as QuickTime, OpenGL, Core Audio, Quartz Composer, Core Video, Core Animation and more.
Quality engineer that has experience and understanding of the media technology and workflow such as the ones found within Quartz Composer and Core Image. This tester will be validating both these technology through internal command line tools as well as through applications that utilize the technology. Experience in both black box and grey box testing is requested, but this test position is primarily a black box position that is focused on application compatibility and creating validation test suites that expose any regressions to critical application clients. Experience using applications such as iChat, Photobooth, iMovie, iPhoto, iTunes, Aperture, iDVD and Podcast Producer will assist in testing.
Requirements
* Effective Communicator both written and oral
* Experienced at writing defect reports
* Experience with Apple multimedia applications such as iMovie, iDVD and Aperture
* At least 3 years experience as a QA engineer
* Has been responsible for the validation of a feature or technology as a QA tester
* 1yr Experience working with and/or validating multimedia
* Experienced working on Os X and familiar with UNIX command line tools
* Ability to write and edit scripts for testing in Bash, Perl or Python is a plus
Duration
Approx. six (6) months, to begin with, subject to extension
