POSITION – INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT
DURATION – 3-6 Months
LOCATION – SAN JOSE, CA
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Architect application infrastructure solutions, including the application infrastructure design and deployment solution.
• Developing detailed application infrastructure designs of the hardware, software, management, physical design, and deployment requirements.
• Deliver solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability and overall cost to develop and maintain (TCO)
• Strong understanding of virtualization of infrastructure technologies and the architecture of cloud based solutions
• Expertise in various Web technologies, including J2EE Application Servers, Web Services, Java, SSL, security (firewalls/encryption products), Web Servers, browsers, and various third party utilities and tools for integrating Web applications with databases and legacy systems
REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge of prevalent application platforms/technologies (BPM, ECM, SOA, CCF)
• Knowledge of the discipline required to develop object-oriented and packaged applications (.NET, JAVA, J2EE)
• Good understanding and working knowledge of Portal Technologies/Platforms
• Experience working with WAS, Apache, JMS implementations etc.
• Experience analyzing, developing, deploying, and supporting computing applications in a large-scale enterprise
• Prior experience in identifying opportunities for improvement, optimization and innovation, leveraging best practices and advocating client position, while correlating complex business requirements with foundational capabilities.
• Establish and update a quarterly forecasting model for infrastructure capacity.
• Broad-based understanding of enterprise application, computer and storage systems technology and architectures.
• Minimum 12-15 years experience in an IT environment with minimum of 5 years experience as an Infrastructure Architect
