Purpose
Management of launch and ongoing maintenance for mobile messaging programs with special focus on short code program management
Managing connectivity supplier related duties for the North American market.

Key Responsibility Areas:
The North America Short Code Manager will be the primary contact for customers and connectivity suppliers regarding short code programs and other two way messaging programs in North America.

Responsibilities include:
-Working with customers on their short code applications to ensure compliance with connectivity supplier guidelines. Re-working as needed upon feedback from connectivity suppliers.
-Similarly, working with customers who desire to make changes to their existing mobile messaging programs.
-Assisting with customer program testing with connectivity supplier to verify compliance.
-Provisioning of short codes and keywords for all N-American connectivity suppliers.
-Maintenance of existing mobile messaging programs, including responding to connectivity supplier audits
-Day to day management of the short code lease-payment process including procurement, processing and code leasing.
-Updating documentation on connectivity supplier requirements as well as related technical and regulatory specifications.
-Submitting client feature and coverage requests to connectivity suppliers
-Communicating changes in connectivity supplier requirements, both internally and to customers.
-Reporting internally and externally on progress as an application moves through the provisioning process and providing progress status updates on a central platform (e.g. dashboard, share folder, etc).
-Applying application configurations to enable various sales demonstrations.
-Providing post-sale short code subject-matter expertise.
-Submitting routing/provisioning trouble tickets to connectivity suppliers.
-Relaying outage and other P1 notifications (related to connectivity suppliers or 2-way services) to the customer support center.
Contact point for connectivity supplier trouble tickets, outage management, and profile changes
-Updates and management of customer routing profiles and connectivity changes within the approved change management process
-Periodic study of changes in MMA and connectivity supplier guidelines and updates of relevant Clickatell customer documentation and communication
-Other technical/administrative supplier connectivity tasks as required
-Understanding N-American regulation and connectivity supplier guidelines (including MMA guidelines) related to A2P SMS services
-Connectivity supplier interaction on a professional level to ensure compliance of 2-way services
-Troubleshooting and cooperation with "rest of world" supplier connectivity department to ensure collaboration

Core Competencies:
Excellent communication skills, including professional phone manner and reliable email response
The ability to manage connectivity supplier relationships very professional to ensure a strong commercial relationship.
Strong administration skills, experienced with MS Office Suite applications
Tech-savvy, conversant in application development
Detail-oriented, comfortable with technical configuration

General Competencies:
Ability to work productively in a team as well as independently
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with South African office
Familiarity with mobile messaging services and 2-way applications a plus

Experience and Education:
Minimum 3 years experience in a customer-facing position
Minimum 2 years experience in the mobile messaging field
Bachelor's Degree
