We are searching for an extraordinary software developer who will work and thrive in a small team developing applications related to 3D visualization, modeling, and analysis for the earth sciences. The position involves developing software for working with oil field and geographic data from a variety of databases (such as Oracle and SQL Server) and integrating this software with our existing suite. The successful applicant will also have the ability to program on either Windows or Linux platforms, and the ability to interface to and utilize C++ classes in our own suite of libraries.
Requirements:
* Excellent C++ programming skills required
* Database application programming required
* 5+ years experience
* STL and Boost experience highly desirable
* Experience working on Windows and/or Unix/Linux platforms
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent, preferably with some background in the earth sciences (geology, geophysics, etc.)
* Strong mathematics background
* Good communication/personal interaction skills
