Job Title: Systems Architect / Embedded WiFi Products

Job Description:
Our client is a start up located in San Jose, their niche is embedded WiFi products. They are seeking an experienced System Architect to join a fast-paced and highly motivated team. The role will involve working with marketing and engineering to drive the SW and System Architecture of Company´s solution and help direct company roadmap decisions for target market segments. The role will also involve supporting customer design-win and design-in activities. Seeking candidates who are self-motivated and thrive in an environment that values teamwork, results, and creativity. This position reports to the VP of Marketing.
Specific Duties include:
Successfully drive the Company system and software architecture and future roadmap.
Successfully work with internal and external sales teams to support customers in order to win designs.
Communicate and drive customer requirements back to engineering.
Assist customers during design in of Company products.
Expected to provide pre and some post sales support.
Required Skills:
B.S.E.E. degree minimum.
5+ years of previous experience working as an architect in embedded space.
Experience in a customer facing role with strong presentation skills.
Track record of successfully driving requirements and features into product development.
Understand the design win process.
Fluent in C programming, debugging.
Experience working with customers to gather requirements and support their design activity.
Extensive experience working in embedded space: 8/16-bit micros.
Strong familiarity with embedded HW and system design.
Excellent communication skills.
Highly organized and capable of multitasking and follow-up on multiple details.
Experience with system interfaces, including SPI, SDIO, UART.
Experience with a variety of embedded controllers, including 8-bit controllers, ARM7.
Driver level modification and debugging experience in wireless technology.
Experienced in RF circuit and system design methodologies and measurement techniques of embedded wireless modules.
Desired Skills:
In-dept knowledge and experience in developing networking protocols, MAC layers, security, RTOS and device drivers preferred.
Past hardware experience with RF product debug a plus.
Experience with wireless LAN a plus.
Past experience with embedded OS, such as MicroC-OS, TinyOS. WinCE, embedded Linux a plus.
