[KITlist-Tech] Product Manager (Silicon Valley, CA)

As a leader in the company, this position will uncover and evangelize new market opportunities by utilizing core technologies from existing products. In addition, this position will work closely with a cross-functional team to develop and prioritize product requirements in order to meet changing market and competitive needs. The ideal person for this position will be passionate about software development, have extensive experience in the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) market, and have demonstrated success in product management in the high-tech industry.

Key responsibilities:

Lead product roadmap and release planning for ElectricAccelerator®, ElectricInsight®, SparkBuild™, and future related products
Uncover new market opportunities by utilizing core technologies from existing products
Develop, prioritize, and gain consensus on product requirements and feature prioritization
Lead and facilitate customer involvement in the roadmap planning, feature prioritization & validation process
Create competitive analyses to support the sales organization
Evangelize product value proposition and offerings at customer visits, training, seminars, and trade shows
Support sales via product training and customer presentations
Review and provide input for outbound product materials (datasheets, whitepapers, etc.)

Requirements:

5-10 years of work experience, 3-5 years of product management experience
Strategic thinker that gets excited about new technologies
Strong business acumen
Excellent presentation and customer facing skills
Understanding of software development process
Familiarity with some scripted and some compiled programming languages (we use Tcl, perl, shell, c and C++)
Experience successfully managing multiple projects through the product life cycle
Demonstrated ability to work closely with customers to elicit product requirements and roadmap input
Strong cross-functional team leader. Ability to interface effectively with sales, business development, operations, development, marketing and QA
Demonstrated success at indirect management in matrix organizations
Self-starter; motivated; energetic

Education:

Technical undergraduate required and MBA preferred

Travel:

10% - 20% Travel
