This company provides innovative, online financial applications for banks, credit unions, wealth management firms and other financial institutions. With our products, financial institutions are able to create compelling online offerings such as instant online account opening and funding, inter-institution money movement, and data aggregation solutions for financial advisors, investors and retail banking customers.
The Director of SW Engineering drives product development of a suite of wealth management solutions. This is a hands-on technical development management role building technically complex solutions for large financial brokerage institutions, interfacing with multiple levels from the C level down to engineers.
* Hands-on engineering team leader responsible for a small distributed in the US and India
* Project management including estimates, resource allocation, scheduling, and delivery
* Delivery and development of complex and leading edge web based applications (scalable, multi-tier, distributed J2EE applications)
* Work directly with C level management on communicating and planning product functionality and project deliverables
* Work with product management and sales teams to ensure accurate communication and planning
Ideal Experience:
* 10+ years of delivering technical solutions to financial institutions.
* Proven track record bringing technical solutions to financial operations.
* Technical hands-on software management experience in high pressure environments.
* Comfortable working in a smaller company environment that does not have the support infrastructure of a larger organization.
* Ability, drive and skills to prioritize and manage time-critical projects.
* Understanding of the landscape of the broader banking, brokerage and financial institutions marketplace.
* Smart, collaborative, detail-oriented and willing to be hands-on.
B.S. in Computer Science or relevant degree; M.S. highly desirable.
