Sales Engineer, Industrial Tapes

Our client is an international semiconductor company looking for a Sales Engineer for the Chicago area to be responsible for technical sales and to support activities of pressure sensitive tapes and films into all markets, including Industrial, Energy and Transportation.
Responsibility of this position is to explore new customers to find new applications and new technology as well as maintain and expand existing accounts.
Candidates should have an understanding of applications for pressure sensitive adhesives and tapes and/or an understanding of die cutting, tape slitting and lamination processes. Experience in selling materials to Renewable Energy, Appliance, Housing & Construction and Transportation markets is desirable, not required.
Requires 60-75% travel in the Chicago area, as well as other parts of Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota. This person must reside in the Chicago area and work from a home office.
Target salary to be $65k with an annual car allowance of $7,200 and an annual incentive plan with a $15k potential plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Requires Bachelor´s degree from four year college or university. Mechanical Engineering degree preferred. Requires five or more years experience in sales and marketing; technical products helpful. Experience in international business/trading is desirable, not required.
