MerchantCircle is looking for a self-starting, hands on Engineering Manager to join our team. Candidates should have a proven successful track record of delivering high quality software on-time and should have a demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and have an approach to problem solving along with exceptional leadership skills.
Responsibility Overview:
· Oversee the development activities of an engineering team to deliver high quality services and products
· Works closely with product management team and advises on product design and road map issues
· Develop and manage detailed project plans, identify risks and communicate to engineering product and marketing teams. Define problem solving risk mitigation strategies
Must be able to communicate at all organizational levels
· Hire, develop and lead the technical team ( including remote engineering resources) and the cross functional groups against plans
Software Engineering Project/Program Manager(Highly versatile, "hands on" Technical, social media/networking a plus)
Experience
• 5-10 years of high-tech industry experience with track record of hands-on software development
Project management experience – track record of successfully leading multiple projects on time and within budget
• BA/BS Computer Science or related technical degree required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of product life cycle, tools, processes and operations planning
• Strong team player, creative thinker and strategic influencer
