Overview
SugarSync is looking for a motivated build and release Engineer with a strong desire to automate everything. You will be a key contributor within the engineering team, assisting with creating a solid build and release infrastructure and the tooling required to assist engineering, QA and Operations successfully build, package and deploy across multiple environments.

The service provides rich access, backup, and sharing features for any data type (documents, photos, music, video, etc.) across a variety of device platforms (desktop, web, and mobile devices, including iPhone and BlackBerry). Experience
Required:
• 5+ years of related build and release experience
• Superb scripting skills
• Experience with continuous integration tools
• Past experience maintaining a revision control systems such as Perforce or SVN
• Strong LINUX skills
• Experience with Tomcat packaging and deployment
• Good knowledge of Maven, ANT, Make and JAM
• Experience with Linux packaging formats such as RPM
• SQL and DB experience
Desired:
• Past experience using QuickBuild
• Prior experience writing tools using Java
• Prior experience writing deployment tools
• Experience with Ruby
• Past startup experience
Skills
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time
• Ability to work directly with Engineering, Operations and QA teams
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Willingness to learn and to teach
Education
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
Compensation
