[KITlist-Tech] Storage Architect (Sacramento, CA)

Principal Duties
•The Solution Architect (SA) is a top level, client facing, pre-sales subject matter expert who identifies, designs, and proposes complex solutions and services engagements for enterprise storage technologies, related software, and professional services to our clients.

•Design and scope enterprise storage system and networking architectures for advanced technology environments, integration elements, related technologies and the services to support integration, assessment, advisory services or implementation.

•Assistance with the drafting of proposal, abstract, and Statement of Work creation for post-sales delivery integration, implementation and delivery.

•Internal sales planning with peers, direct management, account managers, district and sales management for revenue, pipeline forecasting and deal management via CRM tools.

•Participate in minimal billable delivery in an oversight capacity of consulting services that were sold.

•Contribute to practice development, best practices, intellectual property, knowledge dissemination, internal meetings, training, etc.

•Contribute to Cross practice planning – working with other lines-of-business to ensure cross selling opportunities are being planned for, addressed and integrated.

•Participate in the definition and design of Virtualization infrastructure (servers, storage, storage networking, networking, disaster recovery/business continuity, hardware and applications)

• Travel primarily to California (statewide) client locations but may also travel to Colorado, Utah and Nevada

Desired Experience
•At least 7 years experience designing, integrating, and managing complex Enterprise Storage Area Networking, Backup & Recovery, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery solutions, including Pre Sales experience in both Hardware & Software Solutions.

•EMC
•NetApp
Linux
•Virtualization Technologies
•Consulting Delivery Experience

Desired Skills and Certification
•MCSE (or current equivalency) with multiple specialties
•VMware VCP
•Strong understanding of how clients use Virtualization technology to streamline operations (preferably in the Enterprise Desktop Space).
•EMC Clariion, Celerra, ECC
•Experience with x86 hardware
•Advanced understanding of Fibre Channel and iSCSI
•Networked Storage Solutions (CIFS/NAS required, SAN preferred).
•Ability to articulate Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Solution Planning, Design and Deployment requirements and scenarios
