Overview
SugarSync is the world´s simplest and most capable online backup with web & mobile access, file sharing and sync built right in.
SugarSync is looking for a QA engineers with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to develop and execute test suites for a wide variety of functionality across a wide variety of software clients and systems. You will work closely with all developments teams – web, desktop clients, mobile clients and core platform, to help ensure overall quality of SugarSync's product line. Responsibilities
• Develop/maintain and enhance testing requirements, for existing and new functionality to our service
• Perform hands-on testing for complex features and customer/operational critical cases
• Assist in defining, implementing and executing our growing base of automated test tools.
• Document/maintain test procedures and records
Experience
• 5+ years of experience in the software industry (QA and/or Development)
• 5+ years of testing/debugging distributed systems
• 3+ years of software development experience using Java and/or C++
• 3+ years of test automation experience, including white box testing experience with Windows, Linux and Web applications, as well as experience in performing server side and API testing
Skills
• Strong communication and written skills
• Well organized and a self-starter with strong attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to work directly with Engineering, Operations and Product Marketing teams
• Willingness to learn and to teach
• Linux administration skills desirable
Education
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
