BuildingIQ is looking for an experienced Java developer to build the next generation of predictive energy optimization software. You would be part of a very talented stellar team of software engineers and developers.

Job Responsibilities:
• Developing middle layer between UI and backend RDBMS.
• Rewriting in Java: statistical and control algorithms from software packages such as MatLab and R.
• Unit Testing.

Required Experience and Skills:
• Verifiable, referenceable Java programming for a software company.
• Experience in web services.
• Extensive SQL experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Additional Experience and Qualifications:
• Work experience in both startup and established software companies.
• Experience with Agile Scrum software development process.
• Knowledge or experience with energy management systems and/or building automation systems.

This position reports to VP of Engineering. It is preferred that the candidate already be located in Sydney Australia area. However other candidates who are willing to self-relocate will be considered provided (a) this occurs at candidate´s own expense and (b) this occurs very quickly upon acceptance of offer.
