Our client is a growing leader in their industry. They are currently seeking a senior level, qualified candidate with strong technology leadership experience to lead their technology organization for this exciting opportunity:

The IT will The Vice President of IT will act as a transformational leader accountable for providing the vision and leadership for: companywide global operations and solutions, business lines of service, and developing technology initiatives. More specifically, the VP, IT will establish the strategy with a heavy operational and customer-service focus aligned with business needs and priorities, structure and processes to improve cost effectiveness, service quality and agile business development. This role will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for 5 direct reports and global team of approximately 200 employees.
The Vice President, Information Technology will provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the organization's overall Information Management strategy to ensure that the enterprise meets its business objectives. This role encompasses a substantial user community, significant geographic reach, and a sizable, global applications platform. This executive is responsible for delivery of solutions to support the changing needs of the business with optimal level of investment in tools and technologies. The VP of IT will be aware of relevant business and technology industry trends and will be looked upon as a leader in the industry. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

• Securing and executing optimal IS support in all aspects of our business.
• Planning, designing, building effective and efficient IS solutions to support growing and changing business context. Ensure investments meet and/or exceed service level agreements and customer (business) satisfaction levels on a cost effective basis.
• Work with the Executive Committee, Regional Management and Corporate to set the IS direction for his/her area aligned with the business and global strategy.
• Direct responsibility to ensure IS service delivery and availability that provides competitive advantages and protects against business disruptions, especially those that could impact Sales, Operations and Supply Chain daily operations.

Key responsibility areas include:

• Ensure alignment of the global IS service delivery with the business strategy and drive the business to utilize competitive advantages through technology enabled processes with a heavy emphasis on operational efficiency and customer-service
• Contribute to and drive business strategy decisions to leverage technology enabled processes.
• Partner with primary Project Lead and Finance leadership to drive the completion of the Enterprise Resource Planning systems rollout and scalable sustainable model implementation.
• Formalize and manage IS strategic planning within the IS master plan exercise.
• Determine right mix of service sourcing from internal and external sources, taking into account cost and benefits.
• Challenge existing business practices and drive changes to technology enabled best practices.
• Build and monitor jointly agreed SLAs and Scorecards, indicating the desired and real service level.
• Manage appropriate disaster recovery and business continuity measures
• Manage relations with external and internal outsourcing partners and suppliers (including negotiating supplier contracts)
• Actively participate in crisis management
• Responsible for partnerships with all the CBU functions, appropriate competency centers, and other IS organizations to ensure solutions continue to meet the functional, competitive and timing needs of the business.
• Alignment of Solutions with Business and IS strategy while meeting the business objectives and needs. Successful completion of assigned projects within cost, quality and resource constraints
• Effective communication of IS Value, activities and accomplishments to the business while providing performance measurements and continuously improving the performance over time

• Knowledge of software packages

Required skills:

• Bachelor degree required in IS / IT field.
• Minimum 15 years experience in IS & IT function preferably in Life Sciences/pharmaceutical/biotech industry a plus but not a must. Recent CIO level leadership experience
with a $1B plus company.
• Minimum 10 years' experience managing large global teams to provide strong leadership, morale and a positive working environment.
• Customer Service and Business Orientation with strong change management and transformational leadership experience.
• Project Management
• Strong work ethic, a sense of business urgency, and ability to work effectively with many deadlines
