Project Manager- Infrastructure
6-12 months contract
Scottsdale,AZ
Managing Infrastructure operations projects ,
Coordinating between Development Managers, release engineering, datacenter and Infrastructure project managers.
Project management tasks including, but not limited to:
* Defining project schedules and resource requirements based on planning methodologies, deliverables, schedules, and tasks.
*Expereinced with data center migration and technical project management
Working with functional managers to book required resources to project teams.
* Working with cross-functional teams including operations to ensure project task accuracy and drive resolution of issues and constraints.
* Evolving project management process and tools to increase efficiencies of Project Management as a whole.
* Communicating planning and schedule status, issues and risks in a timely manner.
* Identifying and resolving problems, planning issues, and project changes.
Working on migration and datacenter issues, escalation of unresolved issues requiring senior management attention.
* Leading project teams and projects to overall success in data center enviornment
Required skills:
* At least 5 years of experience as Project Management with some data center experience
* Experience managing several operations project in high availability and customer facing on-line e-commerce environment
* Experience with managing Infrastructure, Operations and InfoSecurity projects
* Experience in problem solving, process improvement methods, and business re-engineering methodologies
* Proven track record in process definition and improvement initiatives.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in project management process; knowledge of project management software tools, templates and management techniques.
* Advocate of project management discipline and practices, Project Management Office experience a plus.
* Ability to work with and communicate with operations and datacenter teams to create and modify project plans and resource schedules.
* Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills required.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts and plans.
* Experience in gathering requirements from users and facilitating the creation of technical requirements and specifications.
* In-depth experience with MS Project to build and maintain project plans.
* Demonstrated attention to detail through project management related work. Tracking and attention to detail are critical in this role.
* Able to plan and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
* Keen to learn and adopt new technology and principles.
* Superb analytical skills: both technical and process improvement oriented.
* * Able to independently drive projects through to completion
* Analytical and have good problem solving skills Ability to achieve project goals in a fast paced environment with multiple conflicting priorities
