Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day project-related activities. Projects include new product development projects, and special customer-specific projects.
• Provide regular and timely reports to senior management on project status and risks.
• Manage multiple projects in parallel, setting priorities within each project, and seeking necessary agreement with resource managers on engineering and other needed resources for the projects.
• Generate project plans covering the initial study phase through the entire project life cycle.
• Oversees all aspects of a technology project, including installation of proper project control mechanisms such as project reviews, design reviews, specifications reviews, release planning, risk management, change control, test and verification planning, and defect tracking.
• Actively seek out input from all parties (product managers, product architects, resource managers, etc.) to create the project plan, and actively seek agreement from all parties to the plan.
• Provide leadership in establishing and improving project life-cycle processes within the team, with strong willingness to be owner and champion of new initiatives.
• Maintain and update project budgets to ensure proper tracking of expenditures. This should include regular and timely reporting to accounting office in accordance to company policy.
• Foster professionalism in the team by demonstrating proper people management skills, including persuasion, conflict resolution, problem escalation process, and documentation of key issues and a strong sense of commitment. Cross-organization collaboration to produce results is required.
• Keep self and team to be results-oriented, focus on decision levels and work breakdown structures, with commitment to deadlines and deliverables.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• At least 7 years of working experience, with at least 3 years of experience in technical project management.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and team player qualities.
• Excellent business focus and thorough understanding of financial impacts of project decisions.
• Demonstrated project management skill in development projects from conception to product release phase.
• Skilled in Microsoft Project tool for project management use.
• PMP certification a plus.
• Knowledgeable in modern project management methodology; software project management skill is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated team motivational skill is a plus.
• Experience in audio/video consumer electronics and multimedia is highly desirable.
• Experience in one or more of the following business areas is a plus: content creation, post-production, consumer electronics retail/OEM, content distribution (broadcast or broadband), digital home entertainment equipment.
