Video Firmware Developer
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for embedded DSP software development of: Set-Top boxes products.
- Development of DV hardware & Embedded system programming.
- Programming: C, C++ and Assembly Language.
- Design and develop of embedded DSP firmware for the next gen STB products.
- Maintain and troubleshoot firmware for past and current product lines.
- Create C-Models for digital video hardware in C.
- Work with ASIC design and FW engineering to participate in architecture design and trade off discussions.
Experience, Knowledge and Education Required:
- Minimum 5 years experience
- In depth knowledge of Image and Video compression algorithms, and Digital Video Compression Standards: H.264, MPEG-4 part2 and MPEG-2.
- BS (MS degree preferred) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Strong coding skills and fluency with C, C++ and Assembly Language in a UNIX/Linux environment.
- Deep understanding of image/signal processing and video compression technologies
- Extensive experience designing and developing optimized video codecs
- Familiarity with hardware, hardware-software integration and debugging methodology
