[KITlist-Tech] QoS Engineer (Silicon Valley, CA)

Job Description:

Assist in the implementation of a QoS scheme that dynamically assigns the I/O priority of a set of computing clusters to a high performance NAS (Network Attached Storage) system. This priority scheme will be dynamically configurable. Experience in real-time system level software development, extensive experience with C/C++, and FreeBSD or Linux is required. Prior QoS experience is important. Experience with distributed systems, NFS, parallel file systems and disk array software is a plus. The position works closely with others on the product development team, and each area of responsibility is often a collaboration process, so candidates need excellent communication skills.

Experience/Qualifications Preferred:

Minimum of 5 years experience in systems or storage, with background and experience in QoS is very important
Extensive knowledge of C/C++ and real-time system development
Knowledge of network file systems protocols and parallel file systems a plus
Ability to work in teams
B.S. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent experience M.S. preferred.
