Who are we? An upstart team of UI designers and developers insanely focused on creating compelling new software and service products that integrate beautifully and meaningfully with a wide range of HP products that are loved by our tens of millions of customers. We are the Consumer Applications and Services business in HP´s Personal Systems Group. Our software and services are used by millions of people; on their PC´s, mobile phones, and a wide range of other consumer products.
Who are you? A very experience UI designer, possibly a creative director who owns the overall design direction for a group of designers; possibly you are the design ninja known for delivering innovative UI for your company´s compelling web product. You have been innovating UI for over a decade, and have a portfolio to back it up. Most importantly, you have ideas that were just not possible in your current role … you needed more reach, more scale, more possibilities.

- You have been "bringing it" for 10+ years, with key UI innovations that were recognized in the industry and/or led to important UI patents for your company.
What will you be doing?
- Working on design strategy for the business
- Directing visual design for all our UI projects including our developing consumer UI design system.
- Directing design on software and services projects to ensure quality designs, proper use of the design system, and mentor designers in creating innovative UI´s.
- Working with product teams to lead the creation of innovative concepts and prototypes.
- Driving new UI explorations based on key trends in design and UI technology.
- Push the boundaries of what is possible to create better experiences for users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor´s degree in Graphic Design, Interactive Design or related field of study with a minimum of 10+ years related experience or equivalent. Master´s degree is a plus.
- Must have 8+ year´s experience as key member of a design team participating in the complete product development lifecycle of a web product.
- Must have 5+ years experience leading large design efforts and coordinating project teams of 3 or more members.
- Must have 8+ years experience in interaction design for web and desktop applications, 5+ years in a lead role.
- Strong design portfolio in consumer software/web products which compete in the global marketplace
- Leadership experience inventing, driving and inspiring design.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and developing complete web applications, client software, and mobile interfaces.
- In-depth understanding and experience of user objectives, user scenarios, interaction/flow diagrams, design systems, usability principles, web applications framework, and the development of a product road map.
- Expert understanding of methodologies for designing easy-to-use interfaces.
- Ability to interpret user research and develop testable, user-centric designs is important.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in user-centered design processes.
- Leadership skills with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and user research.
- Expertise with tools such as Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator.
- Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator.
