[KITlist-Tech] CONTR: Developer/ Build Engineer (san francisco, CA)

Looking for a Developer/Build Engineer with experience in

•application development, enhancements and fixes to java and/or .net applications
•installation, configuration, testing and tuning of vendor application packages
•configuration and build management
•quality assurance and test automation
•designing and implementing process improvements
Currently our group supports locally developed applications and vendor systems. We also provide centralized configuration and build management, automated testing services, support for ALM, requirements management and quality management systems.

The candidate may be called upon to assist in development activities, including design, coding and testing, based on experience. He/she will assist in build management and should have experience in build/make scripts; familiarity with ANT/Hudson/Maven is a real plus. Finally, as central QA support we have ongoing needs for ALM and quality management administration, and facility with test automation tools.

Working with a variety of customers at different technical levels, the candidate will need strong communication, business analysis and broad technical skills.

The ideal candidate would:

•have development experience
•have build/release management and QA experience
•have a logical and systematic approach to testing and the use of automation
•be a stickler for quality, attention to detail, and maintenance of high standards
•be a good communicator, both oral and written

Required Qualifications:
•1-2 years experience in Java or .Net development
•Degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and training
•Knowledge of principles and practices of configuration management
•Experience in QA and testing Web and client-server applications
•Understanding and facility with relational databases and SQL
•Unix familiarity.

Desired Qualifications:
•1-2 years experience with Subversion (SVN)
•Advanced degree in CS
•Experience with test automation software and processes using products like QTP or Loadrunner
•Experience with Test Director,QualityCenteror other test framework.
•Facility with build scripting products like ANT, MAVEN
•Familiarity with CI tools such as CruiseControl or Hudson/Jenkins
•Java certification
•JUnit /NUnit, TDD experience
•Knowledge of agile principles, the concept of devops, and continuous integrations
•Experience with RAD or other popular IDEs.
