You will be part of a fast paced team at Cisco in San Jose with startup-like environment responsible for delivering quality product for large complex systems requirements. Thus, you set your own limits for learning, achievements and rewards. The work involves design and development in customized networking environment for some key system software.
Responsibilities:
Participate on a project team of engineers involved in the development of software for our next generation data center switch product family, with emphasis in the cloud management and Software Defined Network(SDN) technologies. Work involves enabling Nexus1000V to be integrated with SDN & cloud solutions from multiple hypervisor vendors such as Vmware, Microsoft, and Openstack. Write complete functional and design specs independently. Develop large portions of software independently and rapidly.
Required Skills:
• Strong problem solving, C coding and debugging skills.
• 3 plus years of related work experience is required.
• BSCS/CE is required MSCS/CE is preferred.
Desired Skills:
Any of the following skills is a plus:
• Experience in developing system software for networking products like switches, routers.
• Knowledge/Experience with Virtualization technologies like Openstack, VMware vSphere, Microsoft System center VMM, XEN server, RHEVM etc.
• Experience with NXOS or Linux
• Experience with Python
