We are looking for a Production Specialist in our Foster City location. THIS IS A CONTRACTOR POSITION (3-6 MONTH ASSIGNMENT)

The production specialist will work on multiple projects, in multiple languages. Content
is written in unstructured FrameMaker. Outputs include PDF, HTML, and Web Works Help.

This person will be part of a small production team that supports 8 writers. The role
reports to the Production Manager. This person will perform the following tasks:

Project Management:
- Information gathering
- Project set-up
- Project tracking, estimating, and status
- Scheduling with Loc vendors
- Localization support

Production:
- Production QA / content proofing
- PDFing
- Link checking
- File posting via FTP and intranet

Technical skills:
- FrameMaker
- XML / DITA
- Windows XP
- Office
- FTP
- Link checker
- Acrobat
- File management
- WebWorks
