Software Engineer With Java/ J2ee technologies, IBM MQ Series
An exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer, working in the Information Technology Services (ITS) department. In this role you will be collaborating between a cross functional team to develop high quality solutions for an Extranet Web application supporting the Cash Automation portfolio.
Here is an opportunity for you to use your skills to:
•Develop web-based, n-tier OO client/server applications using leading edge technologies and tools.
•Develop IBM MQ messaging interface to replace legacy technology for transmitting and receiving data.
•Provide production support services to address application technical issues and defects.
•Collaborate with other team members such as test engineers, system administrators, product owners, and/or analysts to provide the best possible solution.
•Deliver high quality solutions that meet customer needs.
Qualifications:
•· Experience in:
•· designing and developing/testing a high-end web-based application
•· Java /J2E based technologies (i.e. JSP, EJB, EJB), Struts, OOAD, XML, Javascript, and HTML
•· Hands-on experience in:
•· Developing in IBM WebSphere Application Server
•· Developing Oracle 11G and MS SQL 2008 queries and database objects.
•· Developing IBM MQ Messaging solutions to transmit and receive data
•· Demonstrated ability to:
•· design/develop systems for heterogeneous security technologies
•· work collaboratively, by coordinating among cross-functional teams; cope with organizational differences and priorities
•· Independently complete tasks, produce high quality, and complete business solutions
•· Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and analytical skills; strong and professional interpersonal skills to include influence, negotiation and diplomacy
•· Bachelors in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent work experience
Desired Skills:
•Experience in developing using JavaServer Faces, XML, and Web Services
•Experience with performance tuning J2E applications
•Experience working on a team using SCRUM or other agile project framework
•Experience with agile testing methodologies or test driven development.
