Description:
Electric Cloud is looking for a sales engineer to join our inside sales team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a computer science degree, 2-3 years of working experience, and a demonstrated interest in software development. For the right candidate, this is a great opportunity to gain both sales and marketing experience in a technology start-up.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform technical demos (on-line) of world-class build/test/release automation application to software engineers and software managers
Work with the sales and product management teams to augment the technical evaluation of ALM based products
Provide pre-sales technical support to prospective customers
Provide sales tools to the field sales team and systems engineers
Perform competitive analysis of products in the same field
Collaborate across functions, including ability to work with sales, marketing, and engineering teams
Requirements:
Computer Science or Equivalent Engineering Degree
Demonstrated interest in technology, specificially software development
3-5 years of professional experience in a software company in a technical capacity
Some customer-facing interaction
Presentation skills - experience in giving on-line and in-person technical demonstrations
Working knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools and applications
Ability to demonstrate examples of collaborative projects
Travel:
Limited business travel may be required but 90% of work done at corporate facility in Sunnyvale, CA
