Serves as liaison between clinical departments and ITS, partnering with department leadership and SA resources to facilitate ITS support and response to system issues and needs.
Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services."
"Four year degree from an accredited college preferred or relevant technical certifications.
Experience with clinical systems a plus."
"2 years similar technical experience, preferably in healthcare environment.
Linux and Oracle experience a plus"

9. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems supported.
Essential- Tasks and Responsibilities
Works collaboratively with system users, technical staff, other ITS groups and vendor support resources in problem solving issues related to clinical information systems.
Coordinates aspects of planning, design, development, training, implementation, communication, maintenance and evaluation of existing or new functionality related to clinical information systems.
Researches, plans, installs, configures, troubleshoots, maintains and upgrades operating systems and application software and hardware, possessing a high level of knowledge regarding support of assigned systems.
Maintains detailed understanding and working knowledge of current clinical information systems including functionality and relationship to other systems within the organization.
Works with project managers and teams in implementations of new systems, system upgrades and enhancement of current system functionality.
Develops and executes a standardized methodology for testing major system functions before system changes/upgrades are moved to production environment.
Develops and maintains support manual material related to implementation of system changes like routine updates, troubleshooting, issue resolution and product enhancements,
Reviews and collaborates as appropriate on user requests for changes, enchancements, additions, etc. to ensure feasibility, quality and appropriateness for the system involved.
Participates in the process of revising and implementing changes in both automated and manual components of clinical system workflows.
Serves as Clinical ITS Liasion support to assigned clinical departments, working with NI resources, system analysts and department leaders, facilitating a strong partnership between Information Technology and the user community.
Develops an understanding of customer operations/ department operations and systems.
Facilitates reporting information from source systems using the most appropriate tools including Crystal Reports, Business Objects, MS Access for users and management.
Creates and maintains up-to-date training manual(s) for the systems assigned or works with system educator to do so with an emphasis on orienting new system users.
Conducts training classes when appropriate, ensuring competency of end users.
Participates in department and NGHS teams, committees, projects and initiatives as appropriate to support achievement of department and organizational goals.
Stays informed of changes in the healthcare industry, vendor activities, and regulations and their likely affect on assigned systems.
Maintains a service oriented approach with customers,
Provides on call support to end users and the ITS department.
Other duties as assigned.
