Job Title Data Migration Business Analyst
Loc:- Sunnyvale CA
Rate:- DOE on W2 (including Medical and basic Insurance)
Duration:- 7 months ++

Below is a summary of the position.


This Business Analyst position is for a project which involves an architecture and redesign of clients Customer Support Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with Data Migration and Data Cleanup activities related to moving the content for the client Support Site from file based structures to a Content Management System.

Activities and required skills are outlined below.

Essential Functions:

With a moderate level of direction from the project manager, the successful candidate will be a member of a team which will:

• Analyze reports from the content migration tool to help determine the disposition of content.

• Coordinate data cleanup and data migration planning activities with content owners.

• Validate content disposition recommendations with content owners.

• Review migrated content for completeness, accuracy and potential problems of the migration. Communicate defects to the team in an organized fashion.


• Perform migration related data entry in an accurate and timely manner according to project standards

• Create UAT test scripts for the testing of the data migration

• As appropriate, coordinate UAT testing with the content owners.

• Perform UAT testing, report and track defects, retest as necessary.

• Be able to review and edit content in a WYSIWYG tool to ensure consistency and correctness in style, grammar, spelling, and logic and adherence to project standards.

• Upload and publish content through the Oracle CMS


Job Requirements:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Previous experience on a content migration or CMS implementation project highly desirable
• Basic knowledge of HTML
• Working knowledge of MS Excel
• Solid language and editing skills – English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation
• Able to work independently and within tight timelines
• Experience with WYSIWYG editor such as DreamWeaver.
• Prior experience with Oracle Web Content Management Systems (Site Studio) is highly desirable
• Very good analytic skills; prior experience performing business analysis and testing
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and work with a team of other business analysts and cross functional peers to meet deadlines
• Ability to work with a minimal amount of direct supervision
• Familiar with HP Quality Center desirable
