[KITlist-Tech] Oracle Support Analyst (Mountain View, CA)

Position/Role Mission: The ERP team within the IT organization has an opening for an Oracle Support analyst with experience in the Oracle E business suite R12 version of the system at the Mountain View office. The ERP team at Plastic Logic operates as a global resource and the individual will be required to assist with support issues from other offices across the core modules. Duties will include acting as a liaison between the user community, Oracle support, and other IT Oracle Applications / DBA teams. The Oracle E-Business suite applications that fall under this realm include, core Finance (GL, FA, AP), Oracle Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Order Fulfillment, Accounts Receivable, Revenue recognition, HR and Intercompany.

Support duties may include responding to user support issues / change requests and working with Oracle Support (Metalink) ensuring all applications are upgraded to appropriate version levels in close co-ordination with the DBA teams. In addition, this person will be involved in addressing the improvement of operational efficiencies with respect to the usage of the Oracle applications in order to add value and ROI. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self starter that possesses great analytic skills, interpersonal skills, possess great attention to detail and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
* Drive key initiatives/projects to completion and ensure deliverables meet business needs.
* Provide day to day support to user issues raised locally & globally on modules implemented through the Remedy ticketing system. Capture and prioritize issues for resolution with support staff in other orgs
* Gather and track business and functional requirements for new requests / changes , define project scope, create detailed functional specifications, provide impact assessments, identify gaps, evaluate change requests,
* Writing and reviewing QA and UAT test scripts. Managing UAT with end users including coordination and user acceptance signoff

Past/present experience in the following is strongly desirable:
* Configure and customize OM module in Oracle R12 and develop and support Order 2 Cash Cycle
* Implement Workflow process and Business Service modules.
* Oracle Applications/EBS – INV, BOM & discrete Mfg- MRP / WIP process
* Support and enhance integration(s) with various systems in Sales, Support, Finance and Marketing.
* Development and support of outbound and inbound integration between Enterprise CRM / E- Commerce applications.

Education: Degree in computer science or similar subjects.
Technical Experience: This role requires someone who can demonstrate they have excellent skills with functional aspects of the Procure to Pay & Order to Cash Cycle / Returns to Credit cycle and associated areas such as AR, Inter Company, and revenue recognition. In addition the following skills sets are required.
Related Oracle Modules: INV, BOM, WIP, GL, AP, Costs, Advanced Pricing
Technical: Configuration of DFF, KFF, Oracle RDBMS 10g, SQL, PL/SQL, Forms & Reports, Oracle Discoverer, understanding of EDI and XML data exchange with experience of integrations with external systems using EAI tool sets.

General information on candidate profile:
We are seeking someone who has a strong techno functional background. In addition it would be desirable to have experience with defining requirements and acceptance test criteria. This role would suit somebody with over 10 years of supporting Oracle ERP modules and in specific the GL, AP, Purchasing; OM & AR sub modules in various industries across multiple implementations. The person must be able to work productively in a fast moving, sometimes ambiguous environment with sustained work pressure. Be able to articulate ideas in a clear manner as part of a small team, contributing to the development and roll out of the R12 ERP suite. Comfortable, working in an informal atmosphere. To be able to succeed with minimal support functions using personal networks and team work to achieve results and operate across organizational boundaries.
