FrontRange Solutions is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our VoIP development team to design an innovative, scalable cross-platfom architectural solutions for our new on-demand FrontRange Voice product, working within existing TCP/IP based client-server architecture, with emphasis on specifics of VOIP applications. An exciting opportunity to be in the early stage development of this key product.


Description

As a Sr Software Programmer, you will be joining the FrontRange Voice team to create a state of the art VoIP application platform for both on premise and software as a service (SaaS) deployment. As a part of a small team, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle development including architecture, design, coding and delivery. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to deliver a highly scalable enterprise Voice platform to many FrontRange customers.

Responsibilities:
• Design scalable cross-platform architectural solutions for on-demand FrontRange Voice to work within existing TCP/IP based client-server architecture, with emphasis on specifics of VOIP applications within hosted environment;
• Create/implement software design specification documentation; using primarily C++ language;
• Write and perform unit tests;
• Analyze and identify SIP-related/RTP-related problems;
• Take responsibilities over parts of existing on-premise VOIP solution;
• Main focus on RTP-enabled software design and development, including voice post-processing;

Requirements:
• MS or equivalent Computer Science degree;
3 years of experience in VOIP technologies: SIP, RTP;
• Knowledge of major SIP/RTP standards (RFC 3261, etc).
• 5 years of experience in cross-platform C++ programming; IP based networking programming, TCP and UDP; knowledge of IP-based network infrastructure; with experience in building production client-server applications, using TCP/IP networking (beyond HTTP-based Web Services);
• VOIP software programming (any combination of programming with/for codes, RTP, RTCP, jitter, loss, voice quality); • COM programming on windows platforms to support existing software;
• Excellent written/oral communication skills;
• Experience with databases, database programming, C#, SQL;
• Experience in web application development.
