Senior Software Engineer, Ad Delivery

As a Software Engineer in the Ad Delivery team, you will be working on our Video Ad Serving Platform. You will build systems that can take millions of ad requests, execute the ad selection logic and return the ads in few milli seconds. You will apply your deep knowledge of programming, application design, and the latest off the shelf tools and frameworks to develop systems that are scalable and maintainable. You will combine best practices with flexibility to rapidly deliver new functionality as part of our agile development process. Best of all, you will work with and collaborate with a team of talented and experienced engineers working in an innovative, highly scalable environment.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain components in a high-volume real-time web system for ad selection and serving.
• Work with product managers and other team members to develop software to the customer needs.
• Mentor other members in the team.

Requirements:
• BS/MS in computer science or related field with at least 3 years of industry experience in software engineering
• Strong fundamentals in computer science, including algorithms, data structures, and OOP
• Excellent design and problem-solving skills
• Experience developing multi-threaded, high performance, distributed applications
• Experience developing complex applications in Java,frameworks such Spring, Hibernate
• Strong understanding and experience working with databases such as MySQL
• Experience with Unix/Linux utilities, including shell/perl scripting
• Experience with C++ is a plus
• Experience with large scale distributed data processing systems like Hadoop (and/or Map Reduce) is a plus
• Experience with No SQL systems like Redis is a plus
• Experience working in incredibly fast paced environments, preferably with agile development methodology
