Role: Flash/AIR Runtime Platform Engineer
Description:
We are looking for an experienced Flash and AIR Development engineer to help us add support for Adobe runtime technologies to our eReader software platform. The individual will modify the eReader software platform to integrate the Adobe runtime technologies and ensure key metrics such as memory; performance and graphics achieve the desired product objectives. Work with Adobe and internal stakeholders to extend and leverage platform-specific features that could improve performance and ensure our SW platform offers a highly optimized runtime. Additionally the individual will be responsible for benchmarking and analysis at different levels of development and on silicon performance measurements associated with various standalone and concurrent use cases (across modem, multimedia, peripheral subsystems etc.).

Skills
• 7+ years of software development experience
• Experience with Adobe AIR and Flash internals (especially layout and rendering, but also other areas such as the memory and graphics architecture, optimizations, etc.)
• Experience with porting the Adobe runtime to new platforms
• Experience with development for mobile platforms
• Deep knowledge of web browser internals (Gecko / WebKit)
• Knowledge of web display technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, XHTML, DHTML, XML, SVG)
• Familiarity with web transport protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSL)
• Experience with video technologies like video playback, codecs, video file formats, etc. is a plus
• Prior experience with the Adobe OEM certification process is helpful
Candidates should be highly motivated; results oriented and have ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
