Role: Senior Platform Graphics Engineer

Responsibilities

Barnes and Noble are searching for world-class software engineers to join the Android platform development team. Successful candidates will be driven, cooperative, and have a passion for graphics on Linux/Android. They will have strong C programming skills, a thorough understanding of UNIX systems programming, a command of 2D and 3D graphics concepts, and excellent communication skills.

Successful candidates will work within a team of world-class engineers to optimize and develop software for the latest cutting-edge mobile CPU/GPUs and facilitate the development of best-in-class experiences for the Barnes & Noble eReader products.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BSCS / CE or equivalent.
- 3+ years experience writing low-level software, have experience writing OpenGL applications, and be familiar with 3D graphics concepts.
- The candidate should have 8+ years experience developing software for Android, Linux or UNIX and be very strong in C/C++.
- Have experience working on large and complex pieces of software and have strong debugging skills, especially the Android OpenCore and Stagefright interfaces.
- Knowledge of ARM architecture and graphics driver experience, especially OpenGL driver experience, is a plus.
